So I recently saw this on the news and wanted to share the story.
When i heard this story, I just thought that "How crazy is this" , american college students cant even go out of the US, without facing the thought that i might never come home. Studying over seas should be a experience of a life time that you can come home and talk about with all your friends and family. Im sure a lot of students do The Study of Abroad program and come home safely, and we may never know why this happen to him. This is not the first time this happen but it sure needs to be the last!

ReplyDeleteThat is a very sad story and I'm glad you posted it. People must be EXTREMELY careful when the travel abroad - there are so many things you just don't know. Is this a safe place? Is this a genuine person? It's crazy! The year before I went to study abroad in Mexico, a student with the same group I traveled with the following year, went out to a club, had a little too much to drink and ended up falling over the balcony. What was suppose to be a learning opportunity turned into something entirely different. I think the more we make students and young people aware of these situations, the more careful they will become. We are not immune to anything - no matter where we are.

Yeah people just don't know what could happen to them. I agree that people should be more careful when they go on trips to places they have never been before.
